Wright School is a 24-bed state-operated mental health treatment program for children with behavioral and emotional problems. There is no cost for education since children are entitled to a free and appropriate public education. There is also currently no cost for the treatment part of the program. Wright School provides residential mental health treatment to North Carolina's children, ages six to 12, with serious emotional and behavioral disorders; and supports each child's family and community in building the capacity to meet children's special needs in their home, school and local community. The school serves children from all 100 counties.
