Hospital - a building in which sick or injured, especially those confined to bed, were medically treated. Used for TB patients as well.

The Mt. Washington Sanatorium in 1916 and around 1950. Women of the Eau Claire Anti-Tuberculosis Association (including Jennie Shoemaker, Mary Coffin, and Mary Fitzgerald) donated the land for the new sanatorium built in 1913. The present structure was built in 1937 by the WPA, and the old building burned down in 1948. #WomensHistoryMonth #EauClaire #CVMuseum #CVMThenAndNow

This building has remained abandoned for several years since the closing of a CBRF facility it formerly housed.
 +
Long history of haunting and ghost siting draw numerous intruders to this site on an almost regular basis. The old abandoned demolished inside and out give it the added ghost appeal many travel to explore.
 +
Windows have been broken out leaving barely any in tact and also an open invitation for pests and creatures including the curios human to wander its halls trying to recreat the past. Total destruction lurks within its walls. Areas destroyed and full of destruction. Rear of building has only a few remaining windows in tact giving it an added ambiance of scare factor. Garbage strewn through and some areas left as if the people just walked out one day. Tourist and local alike enter this dwelling in hopes of catching a supposed ghost sighting. This building has become a dwelling for many squatters in the local city as well so do be prepared to come across filthy trashed hallway and destroyed property. This adds to the spook however. There is a know boarded area that is open allowing entry so be respectful and use this are when going in your curious adventure. The staff and residents alike had brutal accounts of abuse and neglect.

Have fun exploring and be prepared for tetanus shots after leaving this place. It is destroyed. Windows barely in tact, lights busted, pure total destruction. Please be respectful when entering and remember this is private property, however very much disregard by the entire city and known hunters of apparitions. Enter at your own risk and have fun in the process.
