History
Opened in 1907 for the treatment of TB cases throughout the state, this facility was located in Waukesha County, near Wales, WI. Built with an open air school the facility was used for the treatment of TB until some time in 1957 when TB treatment became better. In 1959 the Sanatorium was converted to the Ethan Allen School for Boys, which served as a correctional facility for boys age 10-25. The state closed the correctional facility in 2011.
