History[edit]

The Davies County Poor Asylum was built in 1864 as a County Home for the people of Davies County and Washington, Indiana. It remained a county home until 1995. [1] The facility now serves as a residential drug rehabilitation program for men called Lighthouse Recovery Home. [2]
