Columbia County Insane Asylum Wyocena Wisconsin

My 2nd great grandmother died at this asylum on Friday, July 1, 1892. Her name is Mary (Brady) McMurray. Mary was born circa Saturday, June 1, 1822 in Ireland. Her daughter is my great grandmother Mary Jane (McMurray) Clemens. How would I go about getting Mary (Brady) McMurray's medical records, if they even exist? When Mary died in 1892, Mary Jane picked up her body and buried her mother in St. Mary's cemetery in Portage WI. Mary was not insane. In the 1870s she lost her husband and 4 of her 5 children. Mary Jane was the sole survivor and carried on the McMurry lineage. I believe Mary had to move to the 'poor house' because she lost the fight for her son's (Ralph McMurray) Civil War Pension Benefit. I believe died of a broken heart. One lingering question I have is - why didn't Mary Jane take her mother, Mary, to live with her? I'll can only speculate why but unfortunately, I will never know the truth.
