NOTE: Nanticoke State Hospital was one of many hospitals built for coal miners in Pennsylvania, these hospitals were also referred to as state hospitals, this hospital was not a psychiatric facility.
The original hospital building has been demolished and the modern building serves as Mercy Special Care Hospital, a private hospital for the Nanticoke community.
