History
Muirdale Tuberculosis Sanatorium, also called Muirdale Tuberculosis Hospital, was built in 1928 by Milwaukee County, Wisconsin and was named for the noted naturalist John Muir.
It closed as a tuberculosis hospital in the 1960s, and for a while was known as Rehab West, functioning as a care facility for elderly persons with mental illnesses.
