"One of the best known citizens of Rock Creek township is William B. Custance, a prominent farmer in that vicinity and .who for several years was superintendent of the county infirmary. In 1898 he was appointed superintendent of the Huntington county infirmary, and during the three and a half years he held that office he distinguished himself by an exceedingly capable administration of the institution."
