History
The Douglas County mental health institution located in the town of Parkland that was opened in 1909 and operated under various names until closing in 1991. Throughout the institution's lifetime it served as an asylum, poor house, tuberculosis sanatorium, and home for the elderly, and maintained a farm and garden.
