Electroshock Therapy at Galveston State Psychopathic Hospital

My grandmother, Nena Scardino Corolla, was treated for chronic depression throughout her life. Her earliest recorded instance is in 1937. Can you tell me if Electroshock Therapy was used at that time in that hospital?
