History
Operated at the Kansas State Penitentiary (now Lansing Correctional Facility) due to problems from state hospitals with escapes and assaults by those found to be "criminally insane". A separate wing was constructed in 1911, demolished at an unknown date. In 1939 49 inmates were transferred to a new facility at Larned State Hospital to house them.
