History[edit]
South of Tiffin on SR 100 near SR 224 is a group of older buildings which were once the Seneca County Infirmary. According to the “History of Seneca County", written by Baughman in 1911, the “Seneca County Infirmary is located in Eden Township, upon a tract of two hundred and fifty-three acres of land on the Melmore Road, about two and one-half miles south of Tiffin. The land was bought in 1855, and in 1856, the first buildings were erected.”
