The Kirkbride, along with other historical buildings at Trenton have been modified heavily during the 20th century. Removal of many decorative features, such as cupolas from the Kirkbride, and the complete demolition of the original administration section have left the historical buildings looking rather ugly when compared to what they used to look like.
