History
As a department part of Good Samaritan Hospital, we represent a tradition of caring dating back to 1924 when our founding Sisters of St. Francis began their first mission in Kearney. Since opening in 1986 as a free-standing psychiatric facility, Richard Young Behavioral Health Center has provided a broad continuum of care for all ages ranging from intensive inpatient to outpatient services.[1]
