|Body= [[Nevada State Hospital]] was established in 1885, it was the third asylum in Missouri. Over the years the building lost most of it's distinctive features and ornamentation. In 1991 it was closed and in 1999 it was demolished. The hospital is still active with other buildings on the campus.

Later this closed down when those offices moved to the Uncas on Thames Hospital Campus. An elderly housing complex which existed in the late 1980’s when the hospital slowly downsized moved into the old male employee building near the Pond View building on the east side of Route 12.
