History[edit]

The original Crawford County Poor Farm was constructed in 1888. The property contained a wash house, a "midwest three-portal barn", a grain silo, a garage, and a small brick outbuilding. The home also had a cemetery about one third of a mile southeast of the home. [1] The county home moved from its original location in 1888, and is now a private residence.
