Opened in January of 1974, Brenham State School campus includes 11 residential buildings. It is located on 200 acres of rolling hills on State Highway 36, just south of Brenham, midway between Austin and Houston. The school serves a 10-county area of Southeast Texas, including Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Montgomery, Robertson, Walker, and Washington counties.
