I just wanted to say hi. Unlike the old site software, this site software has a much stronger messaging system in that instead of private messages or a message at the bottom of the page, this new software dedicates a special talk page for every article and user page ever created. User talk pages are for almost anything the users want to talk about unless what they talk about violates a policy. Also, as you noticed when you logged in, there will be a large brownish orange banner at the top of your page alerting you to a new message on your personal talk page and it will stay there until you go and take a look. Article talk pages are great for discussing the article and ways to improve it. Plus they are also used to store information that does not need to be in the main page, like how many time's it's been featured, notices, warning, etc. | I just wanted to say hi. :Each part is an element. There is no need to delete or remove any element from that template because if you do not fill it out it will not show up. Plus, to make life easier, don't just type it all in, but just copy the entire template and paste it into the article, then fill it out. That way things will be much easier for you.
