This photo, taken in 1930, shows the Marie Bloede Memorial Wing at the Eudowood Sanitarium on Burke Avenue in Towson. The wing was donated by industrialist Gustave Bloede in 1908. The Sanitarium closed on July 1, 1964, after merging with the Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Harriet Lane Home for Invalid Children and the Robert Garrett Fund for the Sugical Treatment of Children. The last 50 patients were transferred to Johns Hopkins. Towson Marketplace currently stands on the site.
